Tudor Arms Wedding |Andrew & Halie

Weddings at the Tudor Arms Hotel are always beautiful and elegant.  Halie and Andrew’s wedding was filled with soft pinks and gorgeous flowers.  For me personally, I was seventh heaven! This couple has been together since high school, and it was so wonderful to be part of their long awaited wedding day!

From Halie before the wedding…”My fiancé and I first met in high school in north eastern Ohio. We then went to college together at Kent state University, where I studied to be a nurse and Andrew was pre-med. Andrew will now graduate from medical school and be a doctor a week before our wedding! We got engaged a year after undergraduate in British Columbia, Canada when we were snowboarding in Whistler! We were suppose to get married on June 27 of 2020, but had to postpone due to Covid. We are so excited to finally be married in 2021 and have Imagine it Photography as our photographers!”

We began the day at Tudor Arms Hotel in Cleveland.  I love the vintage windows and details of the bridal prep room there.  I was able to photograph her beautiful Kleinfeld Dress on those vintage doors as well as her invitation and flowers on the window sills.  I often use the bride’s veil as part of the detail shots.  While I work the girls, John is usually with the groom and groomsmen.  He often photographs them around the area or at the church before the wedding or the first look. From the Tudor Arms Hotel, we headed to St. John’s Cathedral for the catholic wedding ceremony.  The exit shots from the this church are always classic and fun!

For the formal portraits, Halie and Andrew had reserved time at the gorgeous Cleveland Botanical Garden  .   So many beautiful locations to photograph there and we took full advantage of it!  But just across the street is the Cleveland Museum of Art, also perfect for wedding pictures!  We finished out the wedding day formal pictures there, despite a couple hundred prom couples doing the same thing! Note to self to remember this for next year at this time!

The reception at the Tudor Arms Hotel, was grand and spacious. One of the many highlights of this venue is that we often access the second floor balconies for a birds eye view of the reception space and the first dance!  Thankful for my second shooter (and husband) that is up for running those stairs!  Thanks honey!

Overall, this wedding was perfect in so many ways.  A sweet couple and wedding party that were a joy to work with,  fresh and pretty details and a historic venue.  Just lots of things to love!  More than anything was all the happiness around them all day.  Love seeing these couples that have date all through college, finally getting to see their dreams come true!

Thank you Halie and Andrew for having us as part of your long awaited wedding day!
