Amanda and Ryan had beautiful wedding at the new The Shipyards venue in Lorain, Ohio. But it wasn’t easy! It was every bit of gorgeous and lots of hard work due to planning during a pandemic!
In Amanda’s words….”Ryan and I met at Bowling Green State University and have been together ever since! We got engaged lakeside at Bay Village boat club. Together we enjoy relaxing, going to new restaurants, cooking together, going to new breweries, and traveling. Our wedding planning has been slightly stressful due to COVID 19, and having to find a new wedding planner 30 days from our wedding date! But we believe everything happens for a reason and things are all coming together.”
Amanda and Ryan began their preparations in downtown Aloft. Amanda and the girls had Stella & Shay in for all the glamming and what a great job they did! Check out their links below! Once all the preparations were complete, Ryan and Amanda had their first look up on the Lago Custom Events Penthouse Patio of the Ernst & Young building. This is Cleveland’s version of being on a mountain top! Lots of views of water and sky…just beautiful! After the first look with her dad and then Ryan, we heading just outside for a few pictures and then to Cleveland’s Public Square. Trying to not venture off too far (due to time constraints), we enjoyed the city views and then off to Lorain for a few lakeside pictures and then to the wedding ceremony at The Shipyards!
This new wedding venue is rustic and elegant, with sweeping views of the river and boat marina. Amanda and Ryan were able to have their wedding ceremony there and then go into their cocktail hour and reception all right there. The reception room was was stunning, with what looked like hundreds of candles and elegant chargers and glassware. The Champaign glasses even had a touch of cotton candy on the edge. The head table was a beautiful wood Kings Table (From Borrow Rentals), that was adorned with soft flowers from Molly Taylor & Company. Lots of pretty details and I’m sure our pictures will tell the story better than my writing. So take a peek below! I also loved each of the wedding party’s entrance into the reception! They had a song and then matched their props to it! For instance “Ice, Ice Baby” the couple came in with Smirnoff Ice…”icing” their way through the crowd. Then there was “One Margarita” and the couple was drinking shots. A super cute touch for the grand entrances!
It was such a fun and beautiful day and I know Amanda and Ryan couldn’t say enough nice things about their wedding planner Nicole Sirpilla from Sirpilla Soirees. Nicole came in 30 days before the wedding, when Amanda had to change her venue and her original wedding coordinator! She picked up right were the other planner had left off and added beautiful touches and creative ideas! I know Amanda and her family couldn’t sing Nicole and her team’s praises enough at the wedding. So congratulations Amanda, Ryan and Nicole and all the wonderful vendors for pulling off such a perfect day, despite the conflicts of Covid! Love wins!!
