Steven and Nicole’s first date was seven hours of talking and laughing.  Nicole said she knew as they closed down the bar, that Steven was going to be a huge part of her future.  Her maid-of-honor said that she first described him as the “hot hippy boy”. 

 That just made be laugh…we always love hearing the wedding party toast!

Nicole and Steven selected the perfect location for their romantic wedding.  The Grand Barn at The Mohicans is beyond traditional barn weddings. It is nestled in a remote hilly area of the Mohicans. With a river running close by, the area is filled with outdoor enthusiasts and nature in it’s finest glory.  The area is known for it’s famous tree houses (seen on several television shows). Each tree house is unique and hand built.  The waiting list to stay in one is well over a year (we know, because we checked on the idea ourselves)! With Steven and Nicole’s love of Kayaking and everything outdoors, they couldn’t have pictured a better location for their Mohican wedding!

The day was filled with so much love between the two of them and their families!  Having a wedding at the Grand Barn is almost like having a destination wedding!  Everyone was so excited to be there and many were staying in the amazing tree houses as well!  The ceremony was held outside among tall trees and abundant florals that were designed by Seville Flower & Gift. The rain stopped just as the ceremony was to begin and the earlier rain only made the location even more beautiful. After pictures at the barn, we rode to the local covered bridge to dodge the rain for a few pictures. Then we headed back for the elegant and rustic reception! As you can see, the room was filled with stunning flowers that seemed to transform the space into what seemed like a dream. There was no detail forgotten in the decorations, but that was only a small part of the day.  The relationships and love at this wedding were what made the day so special.  Working with Steven and Nicole was wonderful and I personally was thrilled to finally photograph at the Grand Barn!  Thanks guys!
