The beautiful and classic wedding of Ryan and Alicia was
held at the perfect location, The Country Club of Pepper Pike. The majestic setting areas and sprawling lawns
and patios set the tone for what felt like an intimate wedding, yet it was
grand, elegant and full of love and fun.
Ryan and Alicia came from Los Angeles, CA to share their wedding vows
with family and friends. Alicia is originally from South Africa and it was
wonderful to meet her family and friends that traveled to Cleveland for the wedding!
John and I had the privilege to begin the
weekend by photographing the lively rehearsal party on Friday evening. It was held at the Ryan’s parents (Bob &
Diana), in their beautiful backyard patio and decks, overlooking a flowing
creek and woods. Live music turned into
somewhat of jamboree as musical guest sang and joined in with musical
instruments! An on location custom pizza
company and an Italian buffet from a local restaurant kept everyone amazed and
full the whole evening! It was such a
beautiful and warm night as two families celebrated the union of Ryan and
Alicia.
The wedding morning was filled with the excitement of bridesmaids (singing and dancing), the preparations of club and the groomsmen attempting to master bow tying! It really was such a beautiful morning! Alica and Ryan’s wedding was held under a birch and flower trellis just as the sun was starting to lower in the sky, making the view of the ceremony warm and vibrant with colors! During the cocktail hour the
Artisan Jazz Trio played while we captured moments and pictures of the families, wedding party and our amazing couple.
There were many wonderful moments during the reception! A few I recall..one was the little ceremony of wine, bread and salt that Ryan & Alicia’s parents shared with them as their guest cheered. Another was their elegant ballroom first dance, that I just couldn’t help but post several images! Next was the father, daughter dance between Alica and Bob. It was a sort-of folk song and they sang their hearts out and knew every word. It was a story of a daughter leaving. Alicia explained to me, that it reminded her of her dad sitting on Sunday evenings in their lounge, listening to his favorite song. I think I would have teared up if I had known that prior to the dance! 🙂 Not to be out done…Ryan and his mother Diane, had one of the most graceful mother/son dances we have seen! Just beautiful and fun between them!
There were so many special moments and details of this wonderful couple and their wedding, that we have to give a shout out to..Jennifer from
Heart 2 Heart Occasions, Plantscaping and Blooms and The Country Club at Pepper Pike! Thank you Ryan and Alicia and we can’t wait to see pictures from your Bora Bora honeymoon!
