Houston and Lauren are the couple that makes a party more fun! Lauren’s personality is the kind that people often refer to as “lighting up a room”. Taking that personality and adding Houston, their awesome families and friends, and you have the wedding of the summer!  From the adorable little faces she made all day, to the way Houston jokes around with his her, it was nothing but fun for John and I all day!

The wedding had a tasteful touch of a Harry Potter theme running through it.  Unlike their adorable engagement session, seen here .. https://bit.ly/3fqtisA ,  that was full of Harry Potter details, the wedding was more subdue and the perfect amount.  The day began with Lauren and Houston getting ready at The Phelps Hotel, just across from their venue The Taft Museum.  Once the wedding preparations were done and Lauren had slipped into her amazing dress, Houston and Lauren greeted each other in the Taft garden.  From there we all headed to Krohn Conservatory .   I loved this lush green house!  It was perfect for wedding pictures that offer something a bit different!  Lauren and Houston even took a few pictures by the huge dinosaur!

After wedding pictures at Krohn Conservatory, we headed back to the Taft Museum of Art.  Their wedding ceremony was beautiful among the trees in the private courtyard.  I really liked the back of the museum, it looks like a mansion in Louisiana.  Really gives the pictures a beautiful background!

Once the ceremony was over it was time to celebrate!  The tent had two sitting areas, other than the round dining tables.  And Houston and Lauren even choose to sit at one of these seating areas instead of a sweetheart table.  This was such a great and unique idea!  It gave everyone easy access to sit and chat with them, and they also had a front row seat to everything!  Amazing food stations were set-up on either end of the tent, and later custom cookies, cupcakes and homemade warm cinnamon buns were served to everyone!  When I say it was a treat to be part of this wedding, I’m not only talking about the sweets, but also just how wonderful these people are to be around.  Congratulations Houston and Lauren!
