David and Erica (Ricki) came from Baltimore for their Jewish Signature of Solon CC wedding. Ricki’s mother was great friends with one of our past bride’s mother and had received our name from her. Funny thing was that Ricki was already looking at us as an option, when her mother mentioned us! It’s always fun for us to see past clients/families at our weddings!
Ricki and David both prepared for the day at Signature of Solon CC with their wedding party and family. This club provides such spacious rooms with plenty of locations for wedding preparations. Their “first look” was in the front of the club and it made for a very pretty backdrop! We photographed the wedding party and then when a few raindrops hit, we moved the family portraits inside. But luckily, the rain was short and the festivities went on without a hitch! First was the the B’deken & Katubah signing, and it had all the fun that surrounds this wonderful Jewish wedding tradition. I really love photographing these traditions and all the joy it brings to everyone participating!
With the sun brightly shining from behind the blue clouds, the ceremony was held outside under a beautifully decorated chuppah by Neil Leeson. Such a beautiful chuppah for this Jewish ceremony. It was a wonderful ceremony with meaningful vows, a little humor and an added bonus…great temperatures and weather! After the ceremony was the cocktail hour. This was no ordinary appetizer hour! It was filled with unique food stations, such as a carving table and sushi making, plus much more! It was fantastic!
After a few portraits with Ricki and David, it was time for the reception and it started with such a bang! Ricki and David’s first dance was a beautiful, romantic, choreographed dance that had Ricki practically floating on the dance floor! I was cheering right along with the guest, as I was photographing like crazy! But as fun and exciting as their first dance was, it was calm compared to the almost unbelievable horah and all the dancing and jumping this group did! The floor was literally shaking! The whole reception was just about like that…so many people dancing and loving the live band (The Orchestra). So much happiness at this wedding! What a beautiful day and couple! Thank you for including us, it was such a pleasure to work with all of you!
