Brittney & Johnny met in October of 2018 at Pizza 216 where it was love at first bite (haha her words)! Brittney was with one of her now bridesmaids, Danelle, and once she met Johnny and left the restaurant with her friend she said “I just found my husband!”. Soon after that, Johnny proposed at Secrets Resort in Cozumel, Mexico on beautiful pier overlooking the ocean.

Brittney began her wedding day at the Westin downtown, in a super cool, two story loft-type space.  There was a lavish breakfast bar and abundant space for all the details and bridesmaid’s preparations!  Once everyone was ready, we all hopped on the limo bus and headed straight for her soon-to-be-husband’s pizza restaurant in the heart of downtown, Pizza 216!  A few photos with her and the girls and then we were off to Sapphire Creek Winery  & Gardens for a beautiful fall wedding!

Fall is a beautiful time of year to have a wedding, and the natural colors of the season can make for a stunning backdrop! I loved that they had their wedding ceremony outside under the pretty pavilion in Sapphire’s garden. Just look at the colors! I would be remissed if I didn’t mention one of the best and funniest moments we’ve seen at recent weddings! Just as Johnny asked for the ring for the exchange, it accrued to him that the rings were still in the venue!  So the best man made a dash back into the building to retrieve the precious rings, but what was the true highlight was the long moments waiting on him.  Johnny began to playfully “act” like he was placing the rings on Brittney’s finger, while DJ Devin Moore, from Selective Sound , began to play the tune from Jeopard..do you know the tune?  Well, it’s a classic for “waiting” (https://bit.ly/3YHKOJ4), and everyone started laughing, including myself!  It was so perfect and done on the fly!  Great job Devin!

Eventually the rings arrived and Brittney and Johnny were officially married! The formal pictures were done around the beautiful fall gardens at Sapphire Creek and then it was off to the reception!  I loved the gorgeous details.  Flowers from floor to ceiling, candles everyone and just look at that fabulous pink cake by Camelot Bakery!  So many pretty details, but another amazing moment was when Johnny presented Brittney with a framed piece of a pizza box that he had written her a note on from their first date…where he had reconfirmed he wanted to see her again.  Look at the her beautiful expression!  So many great moments, beautiful details and all around happiness with this couple!  Congratulations Johnny and Brittney!
