Jim and Clara met the summer of 2014 when Clara moved to Chicago. 5 years later, they flew to Switzerland for one of Jim’s work trips. Clara knew they would get engaged during their 2 week trip but had no idea when. They spend the first night in Lucerne, Switzerland, and after a delicious dinner, Clara was oblivious to Jim’s attempts to slow her down and take in the view. They arrived back in their Air B&B after Clara insisted she needed to stop back there before exploring further. After freshening up, Clara turned to see Jim down on one knee asking her to marry him.
They had a wedding planned at Cleveland’s amazing Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame on New Years Eve, but with the pandemic, the big celebration has been moved to next year, but the wedding itself was downsized to an intimate soiree at Walden’s Inn. Clara’s style had a vintage flair, with so many perfect details that I was just swooning over. From her beautiful dress, family vintage veil, adorable vintage jackets, perfect makeup and reception details it was so an elegant and unique .
Truly a magical New Years Eve wedding, with the snow outside they exchanged their vows before their family and a big warm fireplace. The fireplace was adorned with white birch trees and twinkle lights. After the ceremony they had a cocktail hour in the cozy Bogey Bar. From there they came into the beautifully decorated clubhouse dining room. Though they weren’t able to have their full band this evening, they were serenaded by 4 pieces of the band! What a beautiful and fun New Years Eve evening, perfect in so many ways! We are really looking forward to next New Years Eve celebrating with Clara and Jim again!!
