Rochelle and I first met at our studio, after she had contacted us about their upcoming  Mapleside Farms Wedding.  I fell in love with her bubbly personality and her curly hair that matched! She was excited to have her wedding at Mapleside, because a barn was just her style! Having a horse, she of course finds herself in barns and boots most of the time, so this was a perfect location for her style.  It’s close to the city for family and friends, yet has the beauty of rustic feel of a beautiful farm/barn.

The day began with Rochelle getting ready at their home and Alex at his parent’s.  When they arrived at the barn, Rochelle put on her dress and the guys went out for pictures with John. This was a Jewish wedding, so they had their “first look” right outside the barn.  From that sweet moment, we rushed out to take as many pictures as we could before the predicted rain began!  We were so lucky that just as we were finishing the final formal pictures, the rain began.  The ceremony had to be moved inside, but it really was a beautiful option as well!  It’s great how we are able to take pictures from so many angles in this spot! With Jewish ceremony we had the Ketubah signing first and then the ceremony in the main area.  As the ceremony started string musicians played grandpa’s old violin.  Personal touches, just love them.

The reception was a beautiful dinner, with many hilarious speeches and toasts.  Once the music started with Scott Jones from Cleveland Music Group, there was no down time!  Starting with the Hora and ending with the sparker send-off, the dancing was crazy!  So wonderful to see everyone having so much fun after this tough year! Congratulations Rochelle and Alex!
