I met with Arathi and Charlie 2 years ago and I have been looking forward to their wedding ever since. Their wedding was what she referred to as a “fusion of Indian and Catholic”. Every detail of the day was gorgeous, meaningful and well thought out. Arathi wore her mothers wedding Sari for the Indian ceremony, while Charlie wore a traditional Indian Sherwani. It began with the Baraat (groom’s entrance), dancing, washing of his feet and the welcome garland for Charlie. The bridesmaids escorted Charlie and then Arathi and her parents to the Mandap. The ceremony was wonderful as each Indian tradition was explained to the non-Indian guest. After the Indian ceremony they said their vows and exchanged rings in a Catholic ceremony. Both ceremonies were filled with so much love and admiration for each other and their families. Following the wedding, they changed clothes photographed around the Cleveland area! The reception at La Centre, was stunning with up lighting that changed when the dancing began. The Mandap was so grand in the reception for the bride and groom and set the tone for an elegant reception.
This couple and wedding were wonderful. Such a joy to photograph and work with. I could go on and on about the different details and the beautiful people. Thank you Arathi and Charlie for letting us share and capture your day!
