Chris and Emily had the sweetest wedding at the beautiful Glidden House at University Circle. The details were just so Emily! With a love for butterflies, she incorporated them not only in those crazy, fun shoes below, but also on her custom veil, and the table decor. Throughout the day, we really got the feeling that this wedding was laid back and full of so much happiness. The Glidden House was the perfect wedding venue for just that.
Looking back, I remember their engagement session well. It was fall and we opted for a lakeside session in Vermillion. They both came dressed perfectly for the season and they both up for all my suggestions. These included a few pictures around the quaint town square, but then hitting the beach and opting for a little rock climbing and pier walking. They were just so cute together and I knew the wedding would bring the same thing!
Emily had a custom raw silk, wedding dress made by her talented mother. Emily knew what she wanted, and her mother was the perfect person to make that dream come true. Chris looked great in all black, and a bowtie that matched her dress! That looked so good together!
With their wedding being later in the afternoon, they choose to have what we call a “first look”. This is when the couple see each other for the first time. They are often very romantic because they have the freedom to talk and express their feelings! I liked that they decide to go off for pictures with us and then when we came back to the Glidden, we photographed the wedding party with them. The nice thing about this location is we have lots of but beautiful options close by!
The ceremony was so beautiful outdoors and then the hopping reception was an early evening event that ended at dusk but didn’t miss a beat! What a great day and great couple! Thank you so much Chris and Emily for having John and I as part of your wedding day team!!
