We first met Kayley and James’ at James’s sister’s wedding!  I believe it was one of their first dates, and then a few years later, we found ourselves photographing them again for their engagement session in Columbus! Love working this family!

We always love hearing how couples connect!  From Kayley….”James and I met at Akron City Hospital, where he was working as an Orthopedic Surgery Resident and I was working as an x-ray tech. James needed some x-rays done on a trauma patient that hadn’t been done for about 12 hours. When I finally got ahold of James, I made sure we were okay do to the x-rays and I went and got them done. After, I was looking around for James hoping to see him. I did and let him know I got the x-rays done for him. A little bit later we passed each other in the hallway and we high fived, and we have been in love ever since!”

Their ceremony and reception was at Gervasi Vineyard! If you’ve never been, it’s the closest thing to being in Italy!  It’s an amazing place and wonderful for weddings especially in the fall! Kayley had their “Farm House”  with all her bridesmaids for wedding preparations, while James and the guys were in one of the gorgeous villas.  The ceremony was in the pavilion while all the fall colors shown brightly all around!  Such a beautiful time of the year! After the ceremony we left Gervasi to do pictures at one of James’s colleges and then back to Gervasi to capture the charm of that whole area!

The reception was filled with so many great toast, dancing and end of the sparklers (which are always a fun picture)!  Thank you Kayley & James for having us capture your day and a big thank you to Denise as well!
