Like many weddings of 2020, Hannah & Kyle had to move their wedding celebration date forward a few months. But instead of waiting to marry, they had an intimate church wedding on their original date. So this wedding was all about celebrating with their family and friends and doing it at one of Cleveland’s premier event locations, Mapleside Farms!
For us the day began with hair & makeup at local hotel and then off to Mapleside Farms, for dressing and the day’s big events. John and I always work together to be sure the couple does not see each other before the intimate first look or ceremony. So John (my trusty second shooter for life) was with Kyle in Mapleside’s preparation room, photographing the guys. Once the girls were arriving, he brought them outside, at of Hannah’s view. Later we had their first look in a shady spot with the barn in the background! These moments are always so fun and sweeet!
The wedding party then joined us, some riding on the golf cart and some hiking around the grounds with us. We had fun in the apple orchids, and even more on the slide and pumpkin wall! Photography can be a bit challenging with some many people there for the Mapleside’s Fall Festival. For us it’s about aiming the camera purposefully in a direction that avoids most guest. But I also do a lot of PHOTOSHOPPING out those people! I prefer the background pretty!
The reception was wonderful! Wedding guest could stay inside and dance and enjoy the fantastic dessert table, or they could venture upstairs and even outside on the covered deck. Lots of room for social distancing if needed! Congratulations Hannah and Kyle! What a beautiful wedding day!
