When Cici (short for Siyi) contacted us, I thought she wanted an engagement session. After talking a bit longer and realizing their wedding would be in China on New Years, I thought she was envisioning wedding pictures in her Chinese wedding gown! But, finally I “got the picture”, she was planning and wanting an “American Style” wedding session! How much fun is that?! So, after purchasing a wedding dress and accessories, buying flowers and renting time at the Hyatt Arcade in Cleveland, we were all set for a fun wedding shoot!
To my surprise, when I arrived at the Hyatt Arcade, Simon and Cici had brought a troop of friends to assist and enjoy the session as well! You can bet that we put them to work. So nice having all those assistants to not only carry equipment and coats, but to also pamper Cici throughout the sessions. Once we were finished inside the beautiful Hyatt Arcade, we made a quick trip to the ever popular Cultural Gardens. Though it was almost mid November, there were still some beautiful fall leaves to capture in the photos! The session ended all too soon of course (time flies when your having fun), but that’s OK, Cici contacted me quickly afterwards to do another session at their college, Ashland University!
I had never been to Ashland University, so it was fun photographing at a new location. Once again their fellow friends from China came along and we photographed around campus and in their education building. This couple is so amazing. They are kind and smart and so much fun! Congratulations Simon and Cici and we can’t wait to see your pictures for your two Chinese weddings next month!
Friends make everything better!
