Kim and Billy had their fall wedding at the Krippendorf Lodge located in the Cincinnati Nature Center.  It was such a perfect location to be surrounded by all the beautiful fall colors. As John and I were driving up for the first time we were absolutely thrilled with how beautiful everything was!

When Kim and Billy choose the Krippedorf Lodge, Kim had envisioned having their “first look” along the pond with all the fall leaves reflecting in the water.  I was totally on board for it because my favorite location for fall shoots is next to water.  But just as we were about to met up with Billy and John, the sky opened up and it began to pour.  Fortunately, Laura the event coordinator at Krippendorf Lodge was such a rock star for us!  She not only gave Kim and ride in her car to the closest spot for the “first look”, but also stood with her umbrella to help out the whole time!  Of all the years we have been photographing which is well over 15 years, we have seldom run across a planner at at venue that was so helpful for her clients!  Anyway, I just had to give her a shout out The “first look” actually was even more special with the quiet rain and the beautiful colors.  As the rain came down, they read private vows underneath a nearby covered area. We then captured a few portraits and made our way back to the lodge for the wedding ceremony.

The ceremony and the reception were held in a somewhat clear attached tent that gave everyone access to the indoors of the lodge as well.  Instead of the traditional wedding cake, the opted for different flavors of cheesecake! They also had the Street Players Band, which added to the fun, celebratory atmosphere of the whole reception! It was our first time at Krippendorf Lodge for a wedding and we can not wait to return!  Congratulations Kim & Billy, what a great day!
