In January, John and I flew to Cancun, Mexico to photograph Neil and Prina’s Indian wedding. Yes, photographing a destination wedding in Cancun, especially in January, was so amazing and perfect, but more than anything, working with Prina, Neil and their families was a dream! From the very first line of communication with Prina, they were easy, friendly and so accommodating. Though Neil and Prina were in the Philadelphia area, they found us through their friends Chey and John, whos wedding we photographed a few years ago. After messages back and forth and a phone call, we were on board for this fabulous week, with this amazing couple!
The thing about an Indian wedding, it is not typically one event. There can be special ceremonies, traditions and celebrations that all lead up to the wedding! We loved being able to capture not only the wedding ceremony, but the Mehndi, the Sangeet, the Haldi, Neil’s Baraat and of course the wedding and reception that followed! Look at their gorgeous outfits for each event, as well as the unbelievable décor! Indian weddings are full of very special moments, prayers and traditions that cannot be missed. Our normal amount of images from a wedding is multiplied many times over for Indian weddings! I love this…photographing these special gowns, jewelry and over-the-top florals is amazing, not to mention the special dances and decorations!
Thank you Neil and Prina for the wonderful experience working with you all and sharing in such a beautiful event!
