From Christina…”Jeff and Christina met in 2018 the way many millennial couples have met…a dating app! While Jeff jokes the app was Craigslist, it was actually Bumble. If you’re unfamiliar, Bumble is the app where the woman “makes the first move” meaning the man cannot contact her until invited to. We’re glad we both swiped “right”! Our first date was a day-date. Jeff was working an odd schedule, so I played hooky from work to join him on an Over the Rhine adventure. We hopped on the new electric scooters that had just been dropped in Cincinnati and scooted around town, Jeff of course showing off with jumps and spins, me of course enduring my first (and only) wreck on a scooter…that was humbling! Our date continued as we took in the local sights before calling it a day and eagerly setting up the next date. After a few short months of dating, we became “official” and went on an impromptu trip out West. We flew to Vegas for a night, then rented a car and drove to Salt Lake City for a night, Moab for a night, and Antelope Canyon for a night. Here we learned of our joint love of travel. We later went to Niagara Falls, Key West, and Spain (among other small trips)! We were planning more trips when COVID happened and derailed our plans for a couple years. We’re so grateful for that silly little app. Neither of us expected to find someone we’d want to spend the rest of our lives with, someone to bounce ideas off of, someone to be their biggest cheerleader, someone to pick them up when they’re low and need a hand, someone to fit effortlessly into their lives…but we did!”
I love their story, everyone had a story and it’s one of the beautiful things about our job that we love. Getting to meet and know our clients really is such a blessing!
Christina began their wedding day at the Summit Hotel. This is a super cool hotel with such unique locations for pictures! Jeff and the groomsmen were at their home and they all joined the girls at The Summit Hotel for Christina and Jeff’s first look! We totally appreciated the roof top patio and the nice canopies giving us some nice shade and interesting pictures!
Then we headed to a gorgeous church that John and I fell in love with, Church of the Redeemer. Such a touching ceremony and beautiful location! I really liked the courtyard there as well!
Finally we were off to Ault Park for their wedding reception! When we first arrived I took Christina and Jeff down to the gardens for a few quick pictures while John photographed the reception details and the guest. Ault Park weddings are so special, not only beautiful, but have a great view! After dinner the band The Chuck Taylors really got the crowed going! Look how much dancing under the stars can be……
Thank you to all the awesome vendors and of course Christina and Jeff for having us capture all the beauty and fun of your day! What a fabulous summer day!
