Tom and Mary Clare’s wedding kicked off for us at their wedding rehearsal dinner/party at Forest City Shuffleboard! What an incredible idea for a fun and unique rehearsal! We had a blast photographing all the fun and spending more time with Tom and Mary Clare before the big day!
The wedding day began at the always perfect Cleveland Lakeside Hilton. With sweeping views of the city, it’s the perfect “getting ready” location for a downtown wedding! Tom and Mary Clare chose to do a “first look”. They wanted it to be private, a special moment between the two of them. I totally understood that and it was one of the sweetest “first looks” we have photographed. Tom’s reaction was so real and sweet and he had even brought along their “pet dog” to sweeten the moment. Later they explained how much they loved having a “first look’. Having that moment just between them, where they could talk, laugh and cry was so incredibly real and personal. They said it is something they will always look back on, especially with the images they now have. Tom also mentioned, that it did not lessen the excitement of Mary Clare being escorted down that aisle, if anything it made him able to take it all in better!
The ceremony was performed by Mary Clare’s uncle. It was such a touching ceremony, especially when he (the priest) became a little emotional. Love that the ceremony was personal for them all! Tom and Mary Clare had several personal things added to the ceremony. One was having all her step-sisters and brothers come up with the wedding party for the vows. Then there were nieces that came up to read. Just lots of love for this couple and the love they had for their families showed!
The wedding reception was held at the Ariel Pearl Center. This wedding venue was once a beautiful bank and the details are stunning! We especially love photographing at Ariel Pearl because it is the “sister” to Ariel International, where we have our studio! Thank you to Tom and Mary Clare for being so incredibly fun and nice to work with! Looking forward to you all moving back to Cleveland!!
