Justin and Kara’s wedding was held at the Ariel International Center in Cleveland. But Kara & Justin’s wedding day began at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. Always a beautiful hotel for a bride’s preparations!
Kara told us….”Justin and I met while both working at Dicks Sporting Goods in Westlake, OH. He always thought I had a mean look on my face and wasn’t approachable so he was too scared to talk to me. One night, a bunch of work friends decided to go out for drinks to watch the CAVS game. After that night, we began talking nonstop and eventually went on our first date. After only 11 months of dating, Justin decided to propose while in Rock Hill, SC at the Glencairn Botanical Gardens. The original night the engagement was supposed to happen, it started down pour raining on the way to the gardens. The engagement was postponed to the next day and I said YES!
Now on to the wedding day! With preparations at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, we had their first look over looking a bit of Cleveland’s skyline. This moment was so incredibly sweet and we loved the location for it as well. What a great backdrop for this ‘first look’. We then opted for a bit of nature and headed to the popular Cultural Gardens for some romantic wedding photography. With most of the nerves settled at this point, we headed to Ariel International for their wedding ceremony and reception.
The ceremony was held on the roof top deck of Ariel. With views of Lake Erie and Cleveland, it’s one of the top choices for many brides. Having our photography studio there it is a plus for as well! The deck was decorated with a white trellis adorned with greenery and flowers. It was a very hot, sunny day and the lake was just glistening.
The reception on the floor below began with beautiful plum details and adorable cupcakes everywhere. The reception space looked beautiful. Ariel International is somewhat a blank canvas, and it’s fun to see what each couple does with it! Kara’s father kicked off the reception with his speech about a man and his invention. He went on to say that without this man the reception would barely be possible that day. Everyone looking a puzzled, he then announced the man’s invention was the air conditioner! What a funny and awesome start to the reception! The rest of the evening was filled with dancing and laughs. Many guest went back up to the roof for more views and a few photos with us! Always fun photographing at our “home base” and even more so with a great couple! Thank you Kara and Justin for including us in your day!
