Amanda and Steve meet while teaching at the same high school. Though they saw each other at work functions, they didn’t have much to say to each other. So Steve took the initiative to ask Amanda out by slipping a multiple-choice quiz into her teacher mailbox. Isn’t that sweet!? I got to hear some of the cute questions he asked her during the maid-of-honor speech. Let’s just say it was adorable!
With Amanda being Lebanese, there were lots of traditions, family portraits and all around fun at this wedding day! Amanda began her preparations at Rania’s Hair Salon with all her bridesmaids and mother. Then it was a quick change into their wedding attire and off to see Steve for their “first look” at Coe Lake. First looks are always so emotional and sweet and I was glad she was able to fit it into the busy schedule.
The ceremony was held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. I always like photographing there, they are very accommodating to photographers. After the ceremony we headed to the reception and Weymouth Country Club.
This is where the fun really begins! From the moment the couple enters the reception they are escorted by drums and and dancing. Everyone joins in and the music and celebrating go on and on! It is really a fun way to begin the evening! The couple were lifted up in the air and before you know it so were the parents! After things slowed down, there were toast and dinner. When that was over, Amanda and Steve cut their wedding cake… with sparklers topping it off! Then they were off for their first dance together and it was amazing!! They danced to a medley of several songs changing their moves as each song played! It was amazing and so fun to watch! Thank you Amanda and Steve for such a beautiful wedding and the fun experience with you and your families! Congratulations!!
