Matt pops the questions: “Since they met, Matt and Edyn had always talked about how badly they wanted to move south. One day while on vacation in Tampa, Florida for Matt’s birthday, Edyn received an email that a position was open in Orlando, and she decided to apply for a transfer. On August 4, 2017, Matt took Edyn to Chez Francois in Vermillion, Ohio for their last nice date night in Cleveland before they moved to Orlando. They caught an Uber from Westlake to the restaurant to make their reservations at 5:00. When they got there, Matt told Edyn the reservations just happened to be at 5:30 and they were early, so they should walk down the street to the lighthouse on the water. It was chilly and windy and Edyn kept complaining about how cold she was and how the wind was blowing her hair in her face, but Matt kept telling her that she had to come to the lighthouse to see the view.
Matt started telling Edyn some sweet things, and moments later, he was down on one knee. Edyn couldn’t say yes soon enough. Little to Edyn’s knowledge, a photographer (Imagine It’s photographer..Jessica Lowman) was hiding behind the lighthouse the entire time and was able to capture the whole moment. Happily engaged, Matt and Edyn packed up their bags and their puppy, Lucy, and moved down to Florida the next week.”
Edyn’s preparations were at the luxurious, Metropolitan At The 9. Right in the middle of downtown Cleveland and just blocks from their reception venue, Nuevo. From photographing their proposal, engagement session and then wedding, they have been so wonderful to not only work with, but get to know. Edyn and Matt did their wedding in their own way. With no formal wedding party, Matt and Edyn had their fathers stand up as witnesses during the vows at Holy Rosary Church in Little Italy. Weddings at Holy Rosary are fun and have a vintage feel and look. I love being right in Little Italy with the festive feel of the area, yet close to Cleveland at the same time.
The reception was at Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar in downtown Cleveland next to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, followed by dinner and dance. With gorgeous views of Lake Erie on one side and the stunning lights of downtown Cleveland, this is a very unique location for a wedding reception. The head table was adorned with opulent florals from ceiling to floor. Thanks to Rosado Events beautiful work! Just what I love ;)! Guest were able to sit out on the decks and enjoy the fresh air and awesome views of Cleveland, while still feeling like a part of all the fun inside! Thank you Matthew and Edyn for a wonderful day and all the fun leading up to it!! Congratulations again!! Stephanie & John
