Today’s wedding post is from The Estate at Sunset Farms.  Our first time there and loved how having everything was in one spot, which helped make the day go so smoothly.  Josh and Amanda’s wedding day began at their venue with the girls on the first floor in a private room, while the guys were upstairs.  Though it was a very cold day, the sun was shinning brightly and the whole mansion was filled with warmth.

Josh & Amanda had a first look inside the front foyer. If you are newer to wedding trends/ideas, it’s when the couple has a more private moment seeing each other for the first time before the wedding ceremony.  These are often very emotional and personal, but also have so many benefits. It helps the couple relax more before the ceremony.  The couple can talk to each other or read personal messages privately. Even with these sweet benefits, there is one we love the most, being able to have more of the day together and the ability to have lots of pictures and moments captured!

Once we photographed inside we braved the cold and headed outside.  The fresh snow made it just stunning! With Amanda’s beautiful velvet back cape, we really couldn’t ask for anything better!

The ceremony was held inside in front of the fireplace, which was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles.  I really liked the ceiling and how we were able to capture it in some of the images. Following the ceremony were family portraits and the reception.  A life artist was creating a portrait as the reception was all around her.  It was exciting to watch the artwork unfold! A fun touch at the reception were all the luscious cakes! One on each table and then some on the cake tables!  Everyone had so much fun cutting their own piece and sampling all the flavors! As the reception was ending and before we left, we took Josh and Amanda outside for just a few more pictures! Loved that they were up for just a few more to capture the outdoor lights!

Great couple, friends and family and we really loved being part of their day!  Congratulations again!!
