When we first met with Mackenzie and Dylan for their Windows on the River wedding, they laughed and told us about their crazy beginning.   These two actually met in kindergarten!  Mackenzie shared pictures of the two of them from school and birthday parties!  They were friends until Dylan moved to Canada in 5th grade.  They used to have play dates, he even came to her birthday parties. They eventually found their way back to each other, though they lived in different states, and had a long-distance relationship for 2 years the feelings they had for each other couldn’t keep them apart!

Fast forward to 2021 and they are preparing for their long awaited wedding! Mackenzie has a very distinct style and I loved being able to capture it.  As a Cavs Girl & ballerina she had such beautiful poise and grace.  Together her and Dylan were a adorable. She had her preparations at their home and the church ceremony was at one of our favorites, Our Lady of Peace Church. There was a forecast for rain, but we were so lucky, just had a little at their exit from the church!  I think the umbrellas made it super cute too!

For formal pictures, Mackenzie reserved The Western Reserve Historical Society!  One of my favorite locations for wedding pictures and perfect for their style!  From there we visited the Cleveland Library.  Always known for it’s grand staircase and was wonderful for photographing her long train!

The wedding reception was held at Windows on the River.  Guest enjoyed the riverside patio while John and I photographed a bit of the details in the two story reception space.  Loved that Dylan and Mackenzie used the theme Grimm Fairytales because their last name was Grimm!  It was just a few touches but it was super cute idea!  Another great idea from Mackenzie was that she changed her dress!  She went from beautifully romantic to stylishly sexy and fun!  Such a great idea when you have so much dress!  What a great day and so much fun photographing!  Thanks Mackenzie and Dylan for having us as part of your day!!
