Angela and Austin’s wedding was romantic and full of little personal touches, that centered around Disney and the beautiful story of Beauty and The Beast. All these little details made it fun for us and the other vendors! I visited with Paper Twigs, their florist, and they mentioned the same thing…how it was fun coming up with cute ideas that played into the Disney theme.
Their story…
Austin and Angela “met” at Muskingum University. In the summer before he transferred to Muskingum, he was refereeing a high school basketball summer tournament that happened to be on campus. Being that Angela played basketball at Muskingum, she was working the scoreboard for those games. We were in that same gym on the same day, but would not see each other or talk for 6 more months.
Austin always says that Angela ignored him when they would pass each other on campus at the beginning of the fall semester, but Angela was on crutches and was looking at the ground. One day in October 2015, she saw him, and well the rest is history. Once we reconnected that fall, we have been inseparable ever since. We started dating in November 2015. He supported her at all of her basketball games of her senior season. She supported him in his senior golf season. In spring 2016, we took home our dog, Kala, who has brought us so much excitement and happiness.
After graduation in 2016, we took our first vacation together – Disney World. Angela has always been a huge Disney World fan. She has been every year in her life. Austin had only been one time before we met. Disney has become a huge part of our relationship, as Austin knew how important it was to Angela. Our dog is named after a Disney character, Austin proposed in Disney World, Angela’s engagement ring is part of the Disney collection. So as you can imagine, our wedding will have various Disney touches and, of course, our honeymoon will be in Disney World.
Austin proposed on September 15, 2019 at the Grand Floridian Resort in Walt Disney World. The story of the Beauty and the Beast has always meant so much to both of us. Knowing that, as part of the surprise, Austin had set up the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra to play the classic Beauty and the Beast song as he proposed, with the perfect Belle engagement ring. We spent the rest of that vacation celebrating and enjoying before starting to do any planning.
The wedding day…
The girl’s preparations began at the beautiful new Gervasi Hotel. Then the wedding was held at St. Michael’s Church in Canton. The church looked so pretty with the fall décor and the gorgeous flowers from Paper Twigs! I loved the expressions that Angela and Austin gave each other through out the ceremony, but especially when she first greeted him at the alter. Just gotta love our telephoto lenses!
After an exit of bubbles and portraits at the alter, we went to McKinley Monument for pictures. From there, Angela’s family had some contacts at Glenmoor CC and we were able to really have fun and capture the fall colors on their gorgeous grounds. Such beautiful colors this time of the year! Between the leaves, the cool weather and the soft light it was a dreamy.
The reception was at the La Pizzaria in Canton. There were sweet , as well as funny speeches, lots and lots of dancing and oh my goodness, the cookie table! Such a fun reception with adorable details, but above all was the incredible relationship these two have and how we absolutely loved capturing it! From their engagement session to the wedding, working with Angela, Austin and their families has been a blessing. Congratulations Austin and Angela!!
