Shaker Heights Country Club Wedding of Jeremy & Emily

Jeremy and Emily together are a perfect fit. Both busy professionals that have a similar drive, are very courteous and have the sweetest smiles when they look at each other. She wrote on their wedding blog… “We probably passed each other a million times at Ohio University, but it wasn’t until we were both settled in Cleveland that we managed to meet. Emily had moved back to her hometown to join a Cleveland firm, and Jeremy had established Cleveland as home working as an engineer after grad school.”  Their Ohio University connection helped make this a perfect fit.

Jeremy and Emily had their wedding at the beautiful Shaker Heights Country Club. This club is elegant and has such a nice flow.  What is even more special about this venue, is that her parents  were also married here! This is so special and it meant a lot to Emily as well.  The bride and groom each prepared for the day in the club’s locker rooms. It makes for such a nice day when all the events are in the same location!  We then had a “first look” that was just darling and was only  between the two of them. From the first look we then went out to the club’s golf course area for pictures.  It was such a beautiful day and we had so much fun with Jeremy and Emily.  Check out their adorable pup that showed up for a few pictures as well!

The  Ketubah signing is first and then the ceremony follows for Jewish weddings. We love all the traditions in Jewish ceremonies. The love and closeness we capture with the families and couple during these moments is often priceless.  The ceremony is then held under the chuppah. The chuppah is a tapestry attached to the tops of four poles. The word chuppah means covering or protection, and is intended as a roof or covering for the bride and groom at their wedding.  Another beautiful tradition for weddings.

Follow the ceremony the couple greeted the guest and then had their Yihud (the couple spends a period secluded in a room by themselves).  A nice little dinner or  snack is served.  I absolutely love this! The day goes so quickly and it’s wonderful to have a few moments together.  The reception of course followed and it was an amazing evening, from the always great hura to the dance contest, it was a beautiful and fun evening!  Thank you Jeremy and Emily for having us share in your beautiful day!
