I had the privilege to witness and photograph a beautiful couple that have overcome unique challenges, to find a love that is wonderful and perfect for each of them. When Steve and Mary first contacted us for their wedding, they mentioned they were looking for a photographer that was experienced, flexible and out-going.  I thought to myself “great, that’s us”!  When we got to speak over the phone she explained a little more why those skills were important to them.  Mary has no arms and has the amazing ability to use her feet as she would hands.  She’s a bit of a celebrity here in Cleveland, as she has been featured in a few news stories. After meeting her and Steve I was thrilled to be working with them!  As Mary’s mother said during her toast at the reception, “Steve is Mary’s dexterity, while Mary is their vision”.  I can’t recall if those were her exact words, but either way it was hard not to tear up a bit as she spoke from the heart. 

Steve is so friendly and considerate of everyone around him. Mary has the warmest smile and when people hug her, they squeeze so tight!   You can see in many of the pictures the love people have for this couple! It wasn’t hard to see that everyone loves them! 

Take a close look at their beautiful vows.  Steve placed a custom ring and chain around her neck.  Then Mary slipped out of one of her high heels and balanced herself as she placed Steve’s ring on his finger with her toes.  It was so beautiful and touching.  

But not all of the wedding was so sentimental!  There were lots of laughs, dancing and great food at the reception. The wedding party was awesome and I loved the bridesmaid’s little dance at the reception!  As you can tell, I was so happy to be working with this couple and their family and friends!  Thank you for the privilege of getting to know you Steve and Mary!
